Julie and I are currently going through the process of arranging our own church wedding for 2012. So I thought it would be a good idea for me to grow this page as we experience the ups and downs of organising this ourselves. In addition to these links, I plan to add a diary explaining how we are getting on. I hope this will be interesting reading for other couples going through the same process.

Of course, much of this information is still applicable for non-church weddings too.

A Church of England wedding carries a basic cost of just over £310 (2011 prices). However, it's possible that you will also desire an organist, choir, and if your church has bells, the bell ringers. Be aware that this may well double the basic cost.
