Built of Kentish Ragstone with some flint in the nave, the South wall of the nave is the earliest part, probably dating from the 12th century. The Chancel is 14th century, and was subsequently lengthened, which may well have been in the early 15th century, when a north sacristry (vestry) was added. The present vestry was rebuilt in the mid 19th century.
