EXTERNAL IMAGES

St Botolph, Beauchamp Roding Church - We reached Beauchamp Roding towards the end of an afternoon in which I had planned to 'do' all of the Rodings. The tower seen in this image is fortunate to still be standing. When Pevsner first visited this church, it was in an extremely precarious state.

St Botolph, Beauchamp Roding Church - The nave is C14, whilst the chancel and W tower are C15.

St Botolph, Beauchamp Roding Church - The chancel itself, feeling and looking very complete, with all parts in perfect compliment to one another.

St Botolph, Beauchamp Roding Church - Only one person turned up for my service. And that was Julie, trying her hardest to suppress a cheesy grin!!

St Botolph, Beauchamp Roding Church - With all the other restrictions imposed by the EC, and the Labour Nanny State, I'm surprised that churches have not been forced to cover up these rood stair access doors with wire meshing or something. I'm glad they haven't.
