All Saints, East Horndon Church - Just North of the Southend Arterial Road (A127), atop a hill, stands this lovely red brick church. Despite its prominent position, patrons of the nearby Halfway House pub are oblivious to its existence, as it is hidden by greenery.

All Saints, East Horndon Church - This short W tower is C17. Its rugged appearance stems from its diagonal buttresses. The tower presents very few right-angled edges, giving a much more bold effect.

All Saints, East Horndon Church - Here on the S side of the church, we can clearly see the S transept, with its sloping roof encompassing the upper storey of the transept. A similar arrangement is in place on the N side.
