Holy Trinity, Southchurch Church - This image of the church pretty much shows the extent of Comper's extension of 1906, which left the newer part of the church at the same length as the old Norman church.

Holy Trinity, Southchurch Church - This image shows the further extension by F.C. Eden, between 1931 and 1932, when the chancel was extended eastwards. This greatly extended the length of the church, but it is clear from the yellow brickwork that further enlargement was planned, but never achieved.

Holy Trinity, Southchurch Church - This postcard shows, quite clearly, the east end of the church, following the first phase of enlargement. Notice that the east end of the entire enlarged church is at the same level as the east end of the Norman church. And notice that the finish of the central east wall is the same as the finish as that of the north aisle. The next image shows an enlarge image of the east end.

Holy Trinity, Southchurch Church - Not strictly related to Holy Trinity, Southchurch - but this post office did once stand directly opposite the church. It was demolished to make way for the new trams, in the early 20th century. It's foundations would likely be partially under the westbound A13, and partially under the grassed central reservation.
