This tower is supported by just one buttress in the SW corner, but it is huge. Notice that the two windows in this wall of the tower are not aligned with one another. The upper, shuttered window appears to be central. Interestingly, in the rebuild plans of 1829-1830, shown at Church Plans Online, the windows are shown to be aligned.
