St Nicholas, Great Wakering Church - The nave of the church is Early Norman. This is demonstrated by the blocked N window. Just visible is one of the Early Norman flat broad pilaster buttresses at the base of the tower, although the upper parts of the tower are later Norman, a fact borne out by the blocked Norman W window visible from inside the nave. The upper broach spire is C15 or later.
