Holy Trinity, Rayleigh Church – Exterior 1: This picture clearly shows the church's most impressive side, with the embattled south aisle, dating from 1517 by William Alleyn. Holy Trinity, Rayleigh Church – Exterior 2: This brick porch conceals a C13 South doorway. The porch itself has two-light brick side windows, and is crowned with stepped battlements upon a trefoil-arched corbel frieze. Holy Trinity, Rayleigh Church – Exterior 4: The west tower dates from the fifteenth century, and has diagonal buttresses and a higher stair turret.
